If I told you this administration just took $7 billion of our tax dollars and flushed it, would that upset you?
Well, prepare to be furious, because the Defense Department IG just said precisely that.
It is now officially confirmed that $7 billion in military equipment and supplies were left behind for the Taliban to enjoy, albeit some of it was disabled.
Never Understand
I will never in my wildest dreams understand the philosophy of destroying and leaving behind such valuable equipment (and not all of it was destroyed).
You cannot tell me that some allies would not have been willing to take that equipment if Joe Biden had not been in such a rush to pull us out of there.
Roughly $4 billion in armored vehicles, more than $1 billion in aircraft and armaments, and another half-billion in small arms.
How long before our soldiers are getting shot with our weapons?
After the botched withdrawal, Republican lawmakers demanded answers.
They had penned a letter to Defense Secretary Austin that read, “It is unconscionable that high-tech military equipment paid for by U.S. taxpayers has fallen into the hands of the Taliban and their terrorist allies.
“Securing U.S. assets should have been among the top priorities for the U.S. Department of Defense prior to announcing the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
Joe Biden just gave the IRS a pallet of cash to hire more agents to audit middle-class Americans over pennies and dollars when our government literally writes off billions in the blink of an eye.
Yet, they want to raise our taxes and trust them with spending MORE money… it is a complete joke.
The system is broken, my friends, very, very broken.
