House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in California. Paul Pelosi, 82, was placed under arrest just before midnight on the evening of May 28th in Napa County. According to a report from TMZ, the speaker’s hubby was then booked “hours later” into jail for driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol material level of 0.08 or higher, according to the public booking report.
Both charges are misdemeanors and his bond was set at $5,000. He might deal with charges consisting of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol material level of 0.08 or greater, the report stated.
Pelosi’s bail was set for $5,000 for the two misdemeanors, records revealed.

Though Paul normally keeps a low profile, the New York Post reports that “in March, he bought $2.2 million in Tesla stock as some in Congress proposed banning lawmakers and their spouses from stock trading.”

TMZ published an update on 5/30 reporting,
“Paul was involved in a car crash, and that’s how officers spotted him. At 10:26 PM Saturday night, the CHP got a call about a 2-car crash in the Napa area, this according to the collision report obtained by TMZ. Paul was driving a 2021 Porsche when his car was struck by a Jeep. He was arrested at 11:44 PM and booked into the Napa County Detention Center for DUI. No one was injured in the crash.”
The Daily Mail revealed details from Pelosi’s arrest report, showing he blew a stop sign and caused the accident.
“DailyMail.com obtained his arrest report which reveals he was driving eastbound on Walnut Lane, a quiet tree-lined street in Oakville, five miles south of the Pelosi’s vineyard in St Helena, on Saturday at 10.26pm.
He pulled out onto S-29 to try to cross it, blowing past a stop sign, and was struck by Jesus V. Lopez, a 48-year-old man driving a 2014 Jeep who was traveling northbound on the state road.
Pelosi was found to have been over the legal blood alcohol limit. He was booked on two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher. “
