French philosopher Nostradamus — who wrote 6,338 prophecies suggesting when, where, and how the world will end — is believed to have predicted chilling events for 2022.

Despite dying centuries ago on July 2, 1566, Nostradamus’ past predictions have been eerily correct.

The Sun reports: “Many of Nostradamus’ predictions, such as the rise to power of Adolf Hitler, World War II, the September 11 terrorist attack, the French Revolution and the development of the atomic bomb have been interpreted as being accurate… According to Yearly-Horoscope, more than 70 per cent of his prophecies have been fulfilled so far.”

The French philosopher, astrologer, and seer may even have predicted the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020, according to believers.

Here’s what Nostradamus believers have interpreted from the entries in his book, “Les Prophéties,” concerning the year 2022.

1. Inflation and Starvation

Nostradamus predicted that inflation and starvation will plague the world in 2022, writing: “So high the price of wheat/That man is stirred/His fellow man to eat in his despair.”

The last part may even refer to cannibalism, unless it is a metaphor. Hopefully, it’s a metaphor.

2. The Death of a Dictator

According to people interpreting Nostradamus’ prophecies, he may have predicted the death of North Korean dictator Kim-Jong Un.

In the 14th quatrain of Centuria IV, the French philosopher wrote: “The sudden death of the first character / It will bring about a change and may place another character in the kingdom.”

Believers in these prophecies claim that this refers to the brutal North Korean dictator because of his dramatic weight loss and the consistent rumors about his health. Kim-Jong Un has not been seen in public for quite some time. The last time the tyrant appeared in public was at a missile exhibition in October, except for a brief moment on November 15 that only fueled long-running speculation about his health. This has been his longest absence in seven years, according to The Sun.

3. Cryptocurrency?

According to some interpretations of his prophecies, Nostradamus may have foretold cryptocurrency.

He wrote: “The copies of gold and silver inflated/Which after the theft were thrown into the lake/At the discovery that all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt/All scripts and bonds will be wiped out.”

The New York Post had a lot to say about this prophecy, writing:

“While Nostradamus’ predictions tend to land more near the bank than on the money, gold is currently surging and a wave of Silicon Valley engineers and executives are leaving their high-level positions to join forces with crypto startups. Coincidence or prophecy confirmed? We wait with bitcoin and bated breath.”

4. Earthquake

Nostradamus may have forecast a major earthquake in Japan in 2022, according to believers.

In the third quatrain of his Centuria III, he wrote: “Towards midy extreme siccity / In the depths of Asia they will say earthquake.”

Especially in the middle of the day, an earthquake in Japan would cause major damage and death.

5. War in Europe

Some interpretations of one of Nostradamus’ prophecies points directly to Paris, claiming that the French capital would be under siege, which would suggest a war in Europe.

The section referring to this states: “All around the great City / Will be soldiers lodged by fields and cities.”

The Sun has some ideas about possible causes, writing:

“Chaotic scenes have already come to the streets of the French capital this year amid riots over Covid restrictions.

And of course Paris was infamously attacked in 2015 by ISIS terrorists who killed 130 people. It was the deadliest attack on France since World War 2.”

6. Migration Crisis

Some interpreters believe that Nostradamus predicted a migration crisis in 2022 even more severe than the one we are currently dealing with. A passage describing “blood and hunger” has been interpreted to mean that wars and armed conflicts around the world may increase hunger, increasing migration.

The passage reads: “Of blood and hunger greater calamity. Seven times appreste to the marine beach / Monech of hunger, place taken, captivity.”

Experts believe that when Nostradamus refers to the beach, he is predicting that seven times more migrants will arrive on the beaches of Europe than normal.

7. The Fall of the European Union

Some believe that Nostradamus predicted the fall of the European Union, which has been dealing with issues since the UK voted for Brexit in 2016.

The passage related to the prediction reads: “Sacred temples prime Roman style / Will reject the goffes foundations.”

Those who interpret it in this manner point to the Treaty of Rome, ratified in 1957, that essentially founded the European Union.

According to this interpretation of the prophecy, Brexit was only the beginning, and the whole European Union is fated to collapse in 2022.

It is looking like Poland may be the next country to follow in the UK’s footsteps by leaving the European Union. This could be the catalyst for the collapse.
