House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) has no idea what she may have just started.
The Chinese are fuming that she has boots on the ground in Taiwan.
The situation there was already like walking on eggshells, but it now appears to be on the brink of starting a war.
Thanks, Nancy
Can the United States realistically go to war with China right now?
If Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan starts a war between Taiwan and China, do we not then have an obligation to defend that nation?
This is the situation we are in right now, and China is making it very clear they are not taking this visit lightly.
The Foreign Affairs Minister stated, “This is a serious violation of the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiqués.
“It has a severe impact on the political foundation of China-U.S. relations, and seriously infringes upon China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“There is but one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China.”
The Ministry continued, “Since Speaker Pelosi is the incumbent leader of the U.S. Congress, her visit to and activities in Taiwan, in whatever form and for whatever reason, is a major political provocation to upgrade U.S. official exchanges with Taiwan.
“China absolutely does not accept this, and the Chinese people absolutely reject this.”
Here is the thing… other than pictures for Pelosi’s wall, what positive comes from her visit?
This is Pelosi knocking something off her bucket list at what could be an astronomical cost.
Believe me, Pelosi having boots on the ground is far from a sign of strength and support.
She is a fool, and so is anyone supporting her going over there.
