The outlook for Donald Trump in 2024 seems to get gloomier by the day.

Trump is taking hits on every front, and some of his most loyal supporters in Congress are creating some distance.

The latest to do so is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

Bad Guy

There is no way Republicans can defend Trump sitting down with Nick Fuentes, period.

Trump can use the excuse that he did not know who Fuentes is, but I think going that route makes him look even more foolish.

Point being, since when would any presidential candidate or businessman such as himself allow some random person to sit down and break bread without at least having his staff do a quick check on him?

This was a setup by Ye and Milo Yiannopoulos, the latter of whom has already admitted that he wanted to make Trump look bad.

What he did was make Trump look foolish.

When asked about the meeting, McCarthy stated, “I don’t think anybody should be spending any time with Nick Fuentes.

“He has no place in this Republican party. I think President Trump came out four times and condemned him, and didn’t know who he was.”

So, how is it that just about everyone else in the party knows who Fuentes is and Donald Trump does not?

I have to think that his name showed up more than once in a White House briefing considering the comments that Fuentes has made in the past.

Again, though, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, why was there no check on him?

A quick Google search on a phone would have at least produced his Wikipedia page that shows his background.

Bottom line… Trump screwed up and everyone in the party knows it.
