This racist man with an extensive history of anti-white hate crimes left a mother completely shocked after he spit in her baby’s face and shouted racial slurs at her. To make matters worse, the judge allowed the man to walk free after this incident, despite knowing his criminal past.

The Newcastle Crown Court in England heard a case involving a 33-year old man named Rezzas Abdulla. He was accused of assaulting a 9 month old baby, Layla-Jean Telford. The attack was done out of racial hatred towards the infant’s mother, 25 year old Rebecca Telford.

The court found that this unprovoked incident included Abdulla spitting on the baby’s face and then walking away.

Rebecca Telford was pushing her daughter in a stroller when they encountered Abdulla. He leaned into the stroller and spat onto the infant’s face before walking off as Rebecca tried to confront him about his actions. Fortunately, an eye witness gave Rebecca some tissues to wipe off her daughter’s face from his saliva.

Despite being less than one year old, Layla-Jean was left visibly distressed from this unwarranted attack; luckily medical tests concluded that she did not contract any diseases from it.

This isn’t the first time Abdulla has committed such an act against white women or their children; he had two prior convictions for racial hate crimes against white women before attacking Layla-Jean.

Unfortunately, despite acknowledging these past offenses, Judge Laffey allowed him to go free without serving any jail time due to his mental health issues and ongoing rehabilitation program he had already been attending prior to attacking Telford and her child.

The decision by Judge Laffey led Telford to question what would have happened if race roles were reversed: would Abdulla still be able to walk away free if he were white?

It seems so far that his minority status has enabled him to escape harsher punishments for his repeated acts of racism against vulnerable minorities in South Shields community which is “really multicultural” according Telford who expressed disappointment that justice wasn’t served for her daughter who will continue living with trauma from such an incident at such a young age.
