In Harrison, Arkansas, many residents expressed concerns over a posted white pride billboard. And while a lot of people were quick to deem the display ‘racist’, others were quick to disagree.

There has been an uproar over a white pride billboard that was placed along Highway 65 in Harrison. The sign features an image of a young girl holding a dog with the message “It’s not racist to love your people” – an advertisement for White Pride Radio and leased by the Knights Party of Zinc, formerly the Ku Klux Klan.

This has raised concerns among local residents about whether or not this billboard is promoting racism and undermining community values. While Thomas Robb, leader of the Knights Party, insists that this sign is simply meant to promote white pride and no other races are denied their right to be proud as well, many people have been questioning if there is a double standard when it comes to race in America.

It goes without saying that racism should never be promoted through any kind of advertising, especially something as visible as a highway billboard. Mayor Jeff Crockett from Harrison expresses his concern that this could drive away potential customers from visiting his town and hurt their economy.

He believes that allowing this sign to stay up would give off the impression that everyone living there shares those views on racism which couldn’t be further from the truth. He hopes more people will stand up against it and make it known that Harrison isn’t like this at all.

This isn’t even the first time controversial signs have made their way onto highways around Harrison either; previous ones read “Anti-Racist is a Code Word for Anti-White” and “Welcome to Harrison. Beautiful Town – Beautiful People – No Wrong Exits – No Bad Neighborhoods”, but luckily they were both taken down for good before too long because who put them up was never identified and they can only hope history won’t repeat itself here too.

But do you think similar outrage would occur if instead it were the NAACP promoting black pride through advertising?
