A new poll is out and it is not good news for Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY).
The lead by Trump-backed Harriet Hageman has been extended.
Cheney is now trailing Hageman by 22 points for the Republican nod for her current congressional seat.
See You Later, Liz
When the first set of polls came out, Cheney was losing, but by only a few points.
Since then, the trend for Cheney has been going the wrong way, now trailing 52-30.
Even if Cheney were to get every last undecided vote, she would still be down by double digits!
The problem for Cheney is something that will not go away anytime soon, either.
It is not her hatred for Trump that caused her the problem, as they are plenty of people on the right that are less than happy with Donald Trump.
The problem was that she crossed the aisle by accepting this committee assignment from House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA).
Fifty-four percent of those polled cited that exact reason as to why they would not support her in this poll.
It is also not helping Cheney that she is getting a truckload of money from Democrats trying to help her stay in her seat so she can remain on that committee.
If Cheney loses her election, it will put even more pressure on the committee to wrap up its investigation before January.
If the GOP gets power, it is game, set, and match on that Select Committee.
