Leftists are having a meltdown on social media after it was revealed that yet another news outlet decided not to endorse Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Times decided not to endorse Harris — despite being her hometown paper — and now The Washington Post has joined them. The left is absolutely outraged over these decisions, despite the fact that media was meant to be non-partisan.
The Washington Post editorial board announced the non-endorsement in a statement, which read: “The Washington Post will not be making an endorsement of a presidential candidate in this election. Nor in any future presidential election. We are returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.”
The outlet went on to highlight its past position of not endorsing presidential nominees, which ended five decades ago when the left started to take over media.
“We recognize that this will be read in a range of ways, including as a tacit endorsement of one candidate, or as a condemnation of another, or as an abdication of responsibility,” the paper wrote. “That is inevitable. We don’t see it that way.”
The Washington Post’s owner Jeff Bezos reportedly blocked the paper’s editorial team’s endorsement of Harris as part of an effort to return the paper to the roots of legitimate journalism — which was meant to be non-partisan — although many have argued that this was because Bezos did not “want to risk angering former President Donald Trump should Trump beat Harris,” according to The Daily Wire.
Several employees of The Washington Post and many far-left readers had a meltdown over the decision, similar to the meltdown from the head of the Los Angeles Times’ editorial board, who resigned over her paper’s refusal to endorse Harris.
In a post on X, The Washington Post’s radical leftist editor Karen Attiah whined about the decision in an unhinged rant.
“Today has been an absolute stab in the back. What an insult to those of us who have literally put our careers and lives on the line, to call out threats to human rights and democracy,” she wrote.
Her ridiculous comments prompted hilarious responses, including: “This is what’s wrong with journalism today. Self righteous and entitled. Writing words about politics isn’t putting your life on the line… This is what actual privilege looks like. Professional temper tantrums. We desperately need to humble ourselves and find God.”

The former executive editor for The Washington Post, Marty Baron, had a fit over the decision, whining that it was “cowardice” with “democracy as its casualty.”
“@realdonaldtrump will see this as an invitation to further intimidate owner @jeffbezos (and others),” he claimed. “Disturbing spinelessness at an institution famed for courage.”
Marty Baron, con't:
"Donald Trump will celebrate this as an invitation to further intimidate The Post’s owner, Jeff Bezos (and other media owners). History will mark a disturbing chapter of spinelessness at an institution famed for courage."

Radical leftist Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) also whined about the decision on X, hilariously arguing that it was wrong for “the free press” not to be a propaganda mouthpiece for the Democrats.
“The first step towards fascism is when the free press cowers in fear,” Lieu claimed.

The decision also prompted many radical leftist readers to claim to be canceling their subscriptions to The Washington Post.
