There is some new leaked video that is showing a news anchor launching into a foul-mouthed tirade, and now things are hitting the fan for this station.
Who started this foul-mouthed tirade? Apparently, it was two Australian news anchors who were questioning the legitimacy of Novak Djokovic’s positive test for COVID-19 and not realizing that they were still on camera. One of the anchors in particular called the Serbian, and I quote, a “lying, sneaky, asshole.”
The man known as the world’s number one tennis player recently won a court battle that gives him the ability to stay in Australia after a judge ruled that the decision by the Australian Border Forces to confiscate his visa should be overturned.
Djokovic’s lawyers revealed during the case that the 34-year-old was able to qualify for a medical exemption to participate in the Australian Open even though he wasn’t vaccinated for the disease because he had already tested positive for last mid-December.
However, Djokovic seems to be attracting all kinds of controversy regarding this issue, because he evidently made a maskless public appearance in his native Belgrade on December 17 where he was attending an awards to encourage young tennis players. However, during a recent press conference a few Mondays ago, his family refused to answer questions regarding these actions from the world’s best tennis player.
Some are raising questions about Djokovic’s travel declaration form as well, with some noting that Djokovic had confirmed on this documentation that he had not traveled or did not plan to travel in the two weeks prior to his flight to Australia on January 4th. However, there have been plenty of social media posts that have emerged since that place him in Belgrade on Christmas Day and then in Southern Spain on New Year’s Eve.
Hence, the reason why Melbourne’s 7News anchors Rebecca Maddern and Mike Amor were discussing the issue during their broadcast last Tuesday, even showing footage of Djokovic arriving at his training station for the day, and this, folks is what brought on their foul-mouthed tirade, yet again illustrating just how divided the world truly is.
After the segment, the pair continued to talk about Djokovic during the ad break, but there was just one small problem with that. You see, during their true, expletive-laden rant regarding him, they forgot that the cameras were still rolling.
Predictably, it didn’t take long for someone to leak the true thoughts of these two for the tennis star online.
“Whatever way you look at it, Novak Djokovic is a lying, sneaky asshole,” said Maddern.
“He is an asshole,” responded Amor.
Maddern continued: “It’s unfortunate that everybody else [messed] up around him. But, to go out when you know you’re COVID positive. Well, I don’t even think he was COVID positive.”
“He gave a bullshit fucking excuse,” said Amor. “Fell over his own fucking lies, which is what happens, right? That’s what happened.”
Amor added later that he believed that the Australian government had made the wrong call when they placed Djokovic in an immigration hotel. Even then though, he still held that “most fair-minded people” would continue to say that he was “an asshole.”
Insider contacted 7NEWS after hours to request comment on the incident, but they have yet to receive a response.
