One of our favorite firebrand politicians is getting quite the scare.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has been trailing in the election for most of the last two days.
With about 96 percent of the vote in, she was down 60 votes.
However, she did pull ahead in the next batch, taking a lead of about 500 votes with about 97 percent of the ballots counted.
Scare
Boebert struggling was not exactly a surprise.
For one, I believe she used proxy voting more than any other Republican.
If not, she was among the leaders.
Secondly, she is getting a reputation as a headline grabber, more interested in creating social media posts than in doing her job.
Perhaps a scare like this will do her some good if she manages to hold on.
We have a big two years coming up if the GOP takes the House.
It will be even more significant if we manage to snag the Senate.
That means put the phone down, stop tweeting and posting on TikTok and Instagram, and do your job!
