First Lady Jill Biden has been widely reported as playing a large role in her husband’s administration, allegedly protecting him from having to take on too much.
Bill Stevenson, ex-husband of the first lady, recently broke his silence in an interview with Newsmax TV and revealed what he called the “Biden Crime Family.”
He claimed that President Joe Biden is attacking former President Donald Trump similarly to how Joe and Jill Biden targeted him during his divorce from Jill decades ago.
Stevenson told Newsmax TV host Greg Kelly: “Frankie Biden of the Biden crime family comes up to me, and he goes, ‘Give her the house or you’re going to have serious problems.’ I looked at Frankie, and I said, ‘Are you threatening me?’ and needless to say, about two months later, my brother and I were indicted for that tax charge of $8,200.”
Host Kelly then asked if Stevenson thought that Joe had essentially ordered this action against himself and his brother. To this question Stevenson said, “I not only think it, but I know it.”
He went on to claim that he was shocked by “the power of Joe Biden and the Department of Justice” over such a small sum like $8200 in taxes.
Kelly brought attention to parallels between Hunter Biden’s current tax case (involving unpaid taxes totaling over $2 million) compared to Stevenson’s own past case which involved a mere $8200 in taxes but faced more severe charges – two felonies instead of misdemeanors.
When asked why he was speaking out now after all these years since his divorce from Jill , Stephenson said, “It’s hard to believe what they’re doing to President Trump right now…He is doing the exact same thing.”
He added that he felt compelled to act because he could not stand by while seeing similar injustices done against Trump as were done against himself 35 years ago: “I can’t let them do this to a president that I love and respect. I can’t let them do this our country.”
Reports have indicated that Jill has been actively participating directly in vetting administration officials for her husband among other duties which appear designed shield him from handling too much on his own.
A Politico report quoted one senior adviser as saying: “She is always his final gut check.”
An April 2023 video released by Joe officially announced their re-election bid where she embraced Vice President Kamala Harris before taking part in political campaigning herself.
According to another former advisor spoke with The Guardian, “She is usually in the room when senior campaign staff is presenting a strategy….but she never weighs in on decision”.
