An absolutely jaw-dropping moment in Mother Nature was caught on video.

A pod of killer whales went WWE on a couple of humpback whales in the Salish Sea.

A tour group snapped the footage.

Once in a Lifetime

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight.

When the brawl broke out, an Eagle Wing tours crew happened to be in the area about 25 miles west of Victoria, British Columbia.

At first, they noticed some Orcas being overly active on the surface.

Then they saw two humpback whales, and it became pretty clear what was happening.

The oddity here is that these two species rarely face off in the ocean.

This battle, however, lasts for about three hours…

The Pacific Whale Watch Association stated, “The encounter included an astonishing three hours of breaching, tail-slapping, and loud vocalizations.

“All of the whales disappeared into the fog, keeping the final outcome of the melee a mystery.”

The two humpbacks gave been identified by researchers as native to Hawaii and Mexico.

They seem to have been the instigators in the conflict.

This could have been more or less serving as a protector from the Orcas.

Erin Johns Glass, executive director of the PWWA, stated, “There have been a few occasions in recent years that our naturalists have seen humpback whales come to the rescue of other animals, like sea lions, that were being chased by orcas.”

With extended protections now in place, that scene could play out more often.

Glass explained, “We’re seeing more orcas and we’re seeing more humpbacks, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more of these encounters of those two species together.”

Mother Nature… you can’t beat the show she can put on.
