ICYMI – If you hadn’t watched the White House press briefings recently, you missed some good stuff!
Today News Africa reporter Simon Ateba has caused quite a dustup.
It got to the point that Karine Jean-Pierre was ready to shut it all down.

Honestly, I can empathize with Ateba because he is sick and tired of being ignored.
He has not been able to ask a question for about eight months.
When KJP brought in the cast of “Ted Lasso” for a little show and tell, Ateba had enough and went off.
After his tirade, KJP sounded like she was talking to schoolchildren.
She stated, “I understand that there’s going to be give and take.
“That’s the way the press briefing has gone for decades before, and I will always, always respect that.
“But what I will not [accept] is disrespecting your colleagues and disrespecting guests who are here to talk, well, were here to talk about a really important issue, which is mental health.
“What has just occurred this last 10-15 minutes is unacceptable.
“It is unacceptable.
“So we’re either going to continue the briefing, or we can just end the briefing right here.”
I have to admit, I was a bit surprised to see another reporter go after Ateba, but then again, he was one of the pets that gets called on every day.
