When former feds start wondering if they’re on the ‘list‘ Kash Patel published, that proves the Deep State needs to be investigated. Officials who think they might be, should be. Even if they’re not. Mere hours after President Donald Trump appointed him Director of the FBI, one reporter’s phone started ringing. He had previously covered the Trump loyalist and knew offhand who was on it.
Patel has a hit list
Kash Patel has a lot of federal officials anxious about pending investigations. Whether they’re on his infamous Deep State hit list or not. NBC News correspondent David Rohde was amazed at how fast panic can spread across the district.
“The first signs of alarm,” he writes, “came hours after President-elect Donald Trump announced what could prove to be one of his most consequential Cabinet picks.”
A few hours after Donald Trump named Kash Patel to replace Christopher Wray as FBI Director, “a former federal law enforcement official” asked Rohde a question. They were curious “if I’m on that list?”
They’re not but around 60 others are. The fact they’re asking proves they have reason to believe they should be on the list.
Patel named “roughly 60 people” as members of the “Deep State” government within a government. People like former FBI Director James Comey and his alleged “Hillary Clinton Fan Club” within the bureau.
Trump couldn’t wait to appoint the author of “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth and the Battle for Our Democracy” as the bureau’s top administrator.
More than a dozen
Since then, one intelligence official after another, with an equal number of law enforcement agents were curious about the same question. Rohde kept a copy of the list near his phone for easy access.
“Even for those not on the list, their absence hasn’t quelled the fears of a dozen current and former Justice Department, FBI and intelligence officials.” Patel really has them rattled.
Half of the federal bureaucracy “have expressed to NBC News their fears that Patel, if confirmed, would use his power as FBI director to criminally investigate Trump’s perceived adversaries, including them.”
If they were innocent, they’d have nothing to worry about. Right? Isn’t that what they’ve been telling the general public all along?
The idea of Patel running the FBI has them especially terrified because he was once one of their favorite targets. He’s obviously out for some sweet revenge. Anyone who was in on Crossfire Hurricane will be losing sleep. Everyone remembers the names of those who lied and falsified evidence in an attempt to frame Trump for collusion with Russia. Which was paid for by Hillary Clinton. Who had been colluding with Russia.
Patel once “wrote a memo accusing FBI officials of political bias and abuse of power during their investigation of possible collusion between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.” He knows exactly where to start the purge. Liz Cheney is a lot more nervous than she claims on social media.
