For the second night in a row, Police were called out for a swatting at the home of nefarious far-right lawmaker “MTG,” Marjorie Taylor Greene. Whoever the unstable caller is, they don’t think trying to have somebody killed by police is an unusual thing to do.
Someone angry with MTG
Police weren’t real happy to visit Georgia Republican Lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene, affectionately known as MTG, for a “second time in 26 hours.” They had to check out the report, they explain.
This time they probably didn’t have their guns at the ready as they approached her home in the middle of the night. They expected Thursday’s call to turn out to be another false shooting report but had to go out on it.
On the second occasion, the caller gave a name. “Wayne Greene.” That was a creative touch because it confused the police. The person at the other end of the electronic transmission is one of those who can’t figure out which bathroom to use.
Swatted again last night.

The confused person was so irate that police didn’t kill MTG on sight the night before, they had to try again. This time, through the suicide hot-line.
According to police in Rome, Georgia, a “person” reached out “electronically to a suicide crisis center to report gunfire at 2:53 a.m.” It was one of those handy chat windows. “The person who made the call through the chat advised that they ‘came out as trans-gender and claimed they shot the family,’”
That’s why the last name Greene threw everyone off. Hopefully, a prosecutor will add extra charges for it. They really wanted cops to kill MTG as soon as they arrived. They also claimed, “If anyone tried to stop me from shooting myself, I will shoot them.” They advised “they would be waiting for us.”
Could have been deadly
They had a similar alert on Wednesday around 1:03 a.m. when a call came in to 911 of “a subject being shot multiple times.” Police are not happy with the swatting caller. “Making a false report of a crime in progress just to draw police to the scene” is itself a crime.
Police didn’t want to waste their time, or disturb MTG but they had to. “We do take these calls seriously,” Assistant Chief Debbie Burnett insists. “It is a shame people don’t understand the gravity of this type of action.”
Swatting incidents like the one that happened to MTG twice are serious crimes because they have already turned deadly. Innocent people who have no idea what’s going on when people with uniforms and guns start banging on their door at night can easily trigger a bloodbath.
Especially if the homeowner is armed and thinks its a burglary when cops are already on edge expecting an armed killer.
It’s not absolutely certain that the police who showed up at the home of MTG on Thursday were aware of what had transpired just the night before. One can expect that due to her public celebrity, everyone in town had heard that news. We also learn never to make assumptions.
The cops who arrived Thursday might have spent the day before sleeping and hadn’t caught the news yet. This suspect should be made a huge example of once they catch up with it.
