It was recently revealed who made the final decision to fire Tucker Carlson, the highly rated cable news host of Fox News.
According to reports from those familiar with the company’s decisions, Lachlan Murdoch, chief executive of Fox Corporation and Suzanne Scott, chief executive of Fox News Media were behind this decision.
In spite of being such a powerful figure outside of Fox News he could not protect himself from all the internal issues he faced related to his behavior both on and off air which had been bothering Rupert Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch since 1996 when they co-founded the network.
According to reports he was seen as an unpopular figure at the network outside his staff who often denigrated colleagues and sources in sexist language while also calling for other journalists to be fired for coverage that did not meet his standards.
He has also been criticized by many people across political lines for his role in promoting a distorted version of what happened during the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6th 2021.
After leaving Fox News Tucker Carlson gave an interview with British comedian Russell Brand where he discussed why he got fired from the network as well as giving updates about what he had been doing since then.
In this podcast interview Carlson stated that even though it shocked him when they told him he was getting fired it wasn’t something new as saying what you think can lead to getting fired sometimes so it didn’t surprise him too much.
He also spoke very fondly about Donald Trump whom he said “loves” while agreeing with Trump’s position regarding US involvement in Ukraine war stating that Trump is right about this issue while everyone else is wrong.
As far as Joe Biden’s immigration policies go, Tucker believes these are designed to “wreck” America making it unstable while adding racial division which cannot be solved easily; according to him our leaders are actively stoking racial tensions instead of trying to solve them.
