During a disastrous “60 Minutes” interview, Vice President Kamala Harris embarrassed herself with an incoherent and rambling response to a question about what success would look like “in ending the war” in Ukraine.
Harris’ remarks only served to explain why she has refused to do unscripted events until now, as she consistently responded to questions with her signature rambling, incoherent “word salads” that didn’t actually include an answer.
While former President Donald Trump has vowed to force Russia and Ukraine to come to a peace agreement, Harris appears to be more in line with her boss, President Joe Biden, in supporting the continuation of a war that Ukraine has no chance of winning.
Russia invaded Ukraine not long after the Biden-Harris administration took office. There are many nuanced details behind how the war was started, but one thing is obvious: Russia was concerned about the Biden-Harris administration’s “inviting overtures for Ukraine to join NATO,” as Breitbart News reported. Russia has repeatedly called out NATO and the West for expanding their military alliance to countries right on its doorstep — likening it to Russia placing its military alliance forces in Mexico or Canada. Russia repeatedly stated that expanding NATO to Ukraine was a redline, and thus it took action to seize some Ukrainian territory to create a buffer space between NATO and Russia.
Regardless of the reasons behind the war, any sane and rational administration would be calling for peace talks to put an end to the rising death toll — as Ukrainians are dying in massive numbers amid mandatory military service. However, only one candidate is demanding peace — Trump, who responded to a question about the war by stating: “I want everybody to stop dying. Russians and Ukrainians… and I’ll have that done in 24 hours.”

Meanwhile, Harris had no answers when asked a similar question.
“What does success look like in ending the war in Ukraine?” CBS correspondent Bill Whitaker asked the Democrat presidential nominee.
Harris responded with another one of her meaningless word salads, stating: “There will be no success in ending that war without Ukraine and the UN Charter participating in what that success looks like.”
“Would you meet with President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a solution to the war in Ukraine,” Whitaker pressed.
“Not bilaterally, without Ukraine, no Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine,” Harris replied, still rambling and making little sense.
“As president, would you support the effort to expand NATO to include Ukraine?” Whitaker followed up.
“Those are all issues that we will deal with if and when it arrives at that point right now we are supporting Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s unprovoked aggression.” Harris claimed.
JUST IN: Kamala Harris gives a very in-depth response after being asked about how she plans on ending the war in Ukraine.
