GOP firebrand Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) announced on Wednesday that her office had received a “very serious shooting threat” just a few days after former President Donald Trump faced a second assassination attempt.
The radical left is apparently ramping up their efforts to intimidate or outright eliminate prominent Republicans in the leadup to the November election, as Trump was nearly killed by two different Democrat operatives in recent months. Now, those threats of violence are apparently spreading to Trump’s allies in Congress.
Luna — an Air Force veteran who was elected to represent Florida’s 13th district in 2022 — announced the news in a post on her personal X account and explained that she would not allow the radical left to intimidate her.
“My office has received a very serious shooting threat,” the GOP firebrand wrote. “This division and hate campaign against Republicans is going to get someone killed. I will not be threatened, intimidated, or bow down to those using violence as a means to push their agenda. We will win.”
“America is the greatest country in the world,” Luna added. “I will continue to fight for the wonderful people who have elected me as well as those across the country that feel that they are being left behind. Please keep my family in your prayers. Hate has no place here.”

Several prominent Republicans responded to Luna’s announcement, including Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who declared: “We are right there with you. It’s OUT OF CONTROL.”

Conservative commentator Rogan O’Handley, better known as “DC Draino,” pointed out that the threat against Luna came “just days after Trump was almost assassinated in Florida.”
“This is unacceptable,” he added. “They’re trying to kill anyone who actually gives a damn about saving this country.”

Luna shared a follow-up post about the situation on her official congressional X account, giving more details about the threat and the increase in violence committed or threatened by the far left.
“Over the last few weeks, I have received an increasing number of threats and doxxing attacks,” she wrote. “An online page was encouraging strangers to send threatening packages to my home. This weekend, it escalated to a very serious shooting threat, and we are taking every necessary step to ensure the safety of my family, staff, and our district. Law enforcement is actively investigating the matter, and I am grateful for their swift response and ongoing efforts to prevent any potential harm. My office will provide more details after law enforcement concludes its investigation.”
“The left continues to push a radical agenda of hate and rhetoric that leads to violence,” the GOP firebrand added. “Just hours before this threat to my office, we saw how there was a second assassination attempt on President Trump’s life. We will NOT be threatened or intimidated by those using violence to push their narrative and try and win an election. They keep directing hatred and violence toward Republicans. We will never stop fighting for our great country and ensure those who feel unheard have a voice in Washington. Please keep us in your prayers.”
