A gang of eight criminals armed with machetes broke into a home at around 5 a.m., threatening the homeowners and demanding that they hand over their valuables.
The four people inside the house chose to fight back, and the criminals ended up leaving the home empty handed. Two of the victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and were discharged later that day.
London police are now asking the public for help to identify the gang of machete wielding criminals.
According to the police, these suspects may have also been involved in another aggravated burglary that occurred that same night, at a nightclub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
“This was a terrifying experience for the family involved and we are committed to tracking down those who carried out this awful crime,” said PC David Havard, a member of the burglary and bobbery team in Waltham Forest.
“As part of our enquiries we can now share images of three men who we want to speak to. I would ask anybody who recognizes the men in these images to contact police immediately,” Havard added.
