It would appear as though John Fetterman is trying to hide his longtime affiliation with Black Lives Matter.
The organization used to be all over his website, including the claim that he championed the cause before the hashtag.
If you go on his website now, virtually every trace of BLM is gone in terms of print.
Where Did It Go?
Fetterman says they just updated the site, and he still loves BLM.
However, the old version of the site had a page titled, Black Lives Matter.
It stated, “John served as mayor of a city that’s more than 80% Black, and has championed the idea that Black lives matter since long before it became a hashtag.”
Now it’s gone.
When his campaign was asked about it, his spokesperson stated, “The one section you seem to be referencing was removed when we updated and greatly expanded our issues page weeks ago.
“Voters deserve to know where we stand, and we’re proud that we spell out our platform clearly on our website.”
It is just an odd coincidence that the information was removed while Fetterman is taking a hit for being soft on crime.
Fetterman is not going to be able to run from this, especially when he gets on that debate stage.
I am very curious to see how Oz goes after him on this.
