The FBI is not obstructing a congressional investigation.
The House Oversight Committee gave the FBI and State Department until March 13 to produce COVID origins documents.
The day has come and gone, and the FBI and State Department have yet to lift a finger to produce that information.
Not Happening
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is livid.
When Trump was in office, any agency that ignored a congressional request was raked over the coals.
Now, this does not even make the headlines.
Comer and Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), the chairman of the select subcommittee on the COVID-19 pandemic, are now demanding answers in a joint letter to the agencies.
It stated, “The origins of the disease that has taken the lives of more than six million people is still unknown. Uncovering the truth about the origins of COVID-19 is vital to U.S. national security, critical to the prevention of future pandemics, and will bring some semblance of closure to the families of those who lost loved ones during the pandemic.
“Your documents and testimony are essential to informing the Committee about what the U.S. government knew regarding the origins of COVID-19 and when the government knew it.”
The State Department responded, “President Biden has directed every element of our intelligence community to put the effort and resources behind getting to the bottom of the origins of COVID-19.”
There is only one reason why this information is not being produced, and I think we all know what that is.
