Dr. Anthony Fauci used to be one of the most respected doctors on the planet.
That all changed during COVID.
For most of us, Fauci made far too many flip-flops, and he paid a dear price for it.
With a Republican win looming in 2024, Fauci knows it means big problems for him.
To that point, a Politico report stated that Fauci has definitely decided to step down at the end of Biden’s term.
Time to Go
Fauci has been collecting a federal paycheck for five decades.
For most of that time, his opinions when unchecked and unchallenged.
COVID changed all that.
Fauci made a mortal enemy of Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), who regularly challenged Fauci, especially on masks and children’s vaccination, many times throwing Fauci’s previous words back in his face.
Fauci has been made to look like a clown by the right, and rightfully so.
While we all understand science evolves, that is not the case for things like masks, of which the data was readily available that they were not the answer to stop the spread.
Fauci’s recommendation to shut down the economy proved to be not only a financial disaster, but it did little to stop COVID.
Now 81, Fauci is ready to bolt while he still has some protection with a Democrat in office.
Most of us have believed for quite some time that COVID is the new flu, and Fauci has finally come around to that way of thinking, stating, “We’re in a pattern now. If somebody says, ‘You’ll leave when we don’t have COVID anymore,’ then I will be 105.
“I think we’re going to be living with this.”
He continued, “What we have right now, I think we’re almost at a steady state.”
Fauci knows Republicans are coming after him, inviting them to investigate the science.
The problem for Fauci, he has rarely actually followed the science.
