Dr. Anthony Fauci is trying to move the goalposts.
He is in a bit of a panic over congressional investigations.
I say this because information that has come out makes it more likely than not the pandemic was started due to gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Lab.
Now Fauci is completely changing how a lab leak has defined.
Just Change the Definition
First, do not forget that Fauci outright denied gain-of-function research was being done or had anything to do with the pandemic.
Now his narrative has completely deviated from that, clearly trying to cover his butt on this.
Fauci stated, “A lab leak could be that someone was out in the wild maybe looking for different types of viruses in bats, got infected, went into a lab, and was being studied in a lab, and then came out of the lab.
“But if that’s the definition of lab leak, then that’s still a natural occurrence.
“The other possibility is someone takes a virus from the environment that doesn’t actually spread very well in humans, and manipulates it a bit, and accidentally it escapes or accidentally infects someone and then you get an outbreak.”
What he just described in that second sentence is gain-of-function, something that Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) repeatedly questioned him about during the hearings.

Legislation was recently passed by Congress to declassify all COVID information and make it public record.
More than a week later, it is still sitting on Biden’s desk waiting for his signature.
