Two Democrat goons are facing charges of causing over $2,500 worth of damages to a Sandy Hook mural.
Mural Disgraced by Democrat Goons
Connecticut police say the duo has been arrested and is facing charges due to being caught doing damage to a mural created in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Lorenzo Cavallo, 20, and Gina Lombardi, 21, are being charged with first-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief charges, according to the Southington Police Department.
Voter records show Lorenzo Cavallo is a registered Democrat. It appears that his cohort Gina Lombardi is not registered to vote but birds of a feather often flock together.
Details Given by Police
The police department posted details on a Facebook post which relayed that the two disgraced the mural that was painted on detached garages. It appears they used spray paint on the mural which covered some of the painted butterflies which represent the 26 students and staff who died in the 2012 mass shooting.
The post also said: “Lombardi stated that she was frustrated with Law Enforcement over an incident in Plainville, felt helpless and had a bad knee jerk reaction. Lombardi confessed to partially vandalizing the memorial, confirming the Lorenzo was also responsible for adding additional graffiti. Several attempts to contact Lorenzo Cavallo went unanswered.”
Guilty of Evil or Ignorant?
However, Lombardi did seem to be apologetic and claimed she did not understand the significance of the painting when she defaced it.
“She also said she did not intend to intentionally deface it. She said she was frustrated with law enforcement over an incident that happened in Plainville and said the vandalism was a knee-jerk reaction,” WSFB reported.
The property owner said the damages will cost around $2,500 to repair the mural.
A warrant was issued for the pair’s arrest and they subsequently turned themselves in on Tuesday.
