ENTIRE Town Grieves ‘For our Republic and our Loss of Freedoms’…Flags Fly at Half Mast

Bruceton, Tennessee, officially lowered their flags to half staff, partially in response to the installation of Joe Biden as the illegitimate administrator in chief. Wednesday was a sad and solemn day for somewhere around 70 million Americans. One enclave of conservative patriotism went the extra mile.

Flags lowered in sorrow

According to Bruceton Mayor Robert Keeton, the entire town is mourning “for our Republic and our loss of freedoms.” He also noted that, unfortunately, many Americans have succumbed to the “Chinese plague.” He took a lot of heat from the liberal left for it too.

They’re especially mad because he used the “G” word. “We pray that God delivers and restores us and that we do not fall to the clutches of communism.” Lowering the flags was a matter of principle.

After the social media universe exploded around him, Mayor Bruceton popped back up to state, “I never dreamed a three sentence prayer would attract so much controversy.” Lowering the flags wasn’t the part that got him in trouble.

He told an interviewer from a local news outlet that from what he can tell looking at the comments that were generated, “it’s because I used the word ‘Chinese’ before the word ‘plague.’

The reporter suggested that he might be in hot water for comments that are more inciteful to Democrats who don’t really care about flags. Those they set on fire. Democrats tend to go running for a safe space and a can of Play-Doh any time they hear “anything about the words ‘loss of freedoms’ and ‘communism’ on ‘Inauguration’ Day.”

Keeton admitted that she might have a point. Election integrity is a hot button issue these days. “I guess it may be fitting. But, that’s a concern I had prior to the election. It’s a concern I have now. And, It’s a concern everybody should be concerned with.”

Intimidated into submission

Patriots everywhere should take notice that by Noon Thursday the flags were back at the top of the pole. The Mayor was intimidated into submission by “almost 1,500 comments and 500 shares.”

Most of the comments were calling his patriotic stand “unpatriotic, divisive, and unprofessional.” Surprisingly, the reporter actually gave Mayor Keeton a chance to set the record straight and even printed it.

“Do you have anything you want to say to those people who might not have understood what you were wanting to say?” Julia Ewoldt asked. Yes, as a matter of fact, he did.

First off, the main motivation for lowering the flags Wednesday was “following the death of a friend, and in memory of those “who have passed away from this plague unnecessarily.”

The flags weren’t even the issue to the liberals demeaning him on Facebook, it was his religious beliefs that cheesed everyone off.

“It’s a very simple three-line prayer. It means no more and no less than what it says.” The interviewer pressed, “So they interpreted it correctly?” Well, he replied, “Some people have. Some people haven’t.”
