Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL) is my new hero.

He pulled off one of the most epic moves I have ever seen in a congressional hearing.

Palmer is a member of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee chaired by Rep. Diana DeGette.

Take It Down!

As congressman are want to do, Palmer gives a long-winded speech before asking his question.

If you have seen him in committee, he is a pretty bland dude.

That actually worked in his favor in this exchange.

Unfortunately, I cannot embed the video, as Rumble does not have code available for this particular video, but you can see the full exchange on the Daily Caller.

Typically, members are supposed to get documents approved by unanimous consent, but Palmer did not do that here because he was looking for shock value.

He introduced the “Hand of Hope” photo taken by freelance photographer Michael Clancy in 1999.

It is an absolutely stunning photo of a 21-week-old baby inside the womb that had to be operated in the womb or it would not have survived.

Mid-surgery, a tiny arm came out of the wound, then retracted, leaving only the hand visible, which grabbed onto the doctor’s finger, as if saying, “hey, I am here, help me live.”

The photo is stunning…

In describing the photo, Clancy wrote, “Suddenly, an entire arm thrust out of the opening, then pulled back until just a little hand was showing.

“The doctor reached over and lifted the hand, which reacted and squeezed the doctor’s finger.

“As if testing for strength, the doctor shook the tiny fist. Samuel held firm. I took the picture!”

Dems and abortion advocates do not want that picture out there because you can see the formation of the limbs and that at 21 weeks, that is a person, contrary to what Democrats want us to believe.

My favorite part of the exchange is when DeGette freaks out and lectures Palmer, and he very calmly states, “I accept your ruling.”

He knew his purpose was served and he won that battle in a big way.

What I would like you to pay attention to, however, is how far the doctor on the stand goes to dehumanize what we could all see was a child.

Palmer hit it out of the park in his closing.
