Double standards for Democrats are just a normal everyday occurrence for them. This time a Democrat who tested positive for COVID-19 has just slapped Americans in the face with her and her Party’s hypocrisy.
Democrat Lawmaker Gave Americans a Slap
Democrat Representative Gwen Moore from Wisconsin said two days ago that she will vote on the House Floor which took place on Sunday. Just six days before, she tested positive for the coronavirus.
Nancy Pelosi was the ringleader of this incident as she was trying to get every vote she could to get re-elected as House Speaker.
Unfortunately, it worked and Pelosi was reappointed as the House Speaker despite Republicans’ dismay.
Americans aren’t allowed to run their businesses or go to their loved ones’ funerals but lawmakers can go to Pelosi’s shindig when testing positive for the virus.
The Details
On December 28, Moore announced that she did in fact test positive for COVID-19. She never said if she got a negative test before going to the vote for speaker.
“Thank you all for the well wishes,” Moore wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “I am feeling good! My quarantine is over and I am medically cleared to travel and work on behalf of Wisconsin’s Fourth Congressional District.”

Meanwhile, three other members of Congress will be allowed to vote on Sunday via “special arrangements” because they are still in their quarantine windows despite testing negative for the virus, Politico’s Heather Caygle and Melanie Zanona reported.
Fox News reports:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has detailed two acceptable quarantine periods, although it noted that the previously established 14-day quarantine is the best way to reduce the risk of virus spread. Officials said quarantine can now end after 10 days without a COVID-19 test if the person reports no symptoms, or after seven days with a negative test result if the person reports no symptoms.
Republicans Angry at Hypocrisy
Understandable, many Republicans were angry with the hypocrisy shown by Democrats.
“The coronavirus won’t stop Nancy Pelosi’s quest for power,” the Republican National Committee’s rapid response director Steve Guest wrote on Twitter.

She hasn’t been in DC since May & has been voting by proxy.
But because Pelosi wants power, despite being COVID +, Moore is headed back to DC. https://t.co/iHUpfWVnba
