He Just Did Something Biden Wouldn’t…

New York City Mayor Eric Adams went to El Paso, to see for himself what’s really going on there. He didn’t get the sanitized tour Joe Biden had. The first thing he did when he returned was start telling everyone how serious it really is and how the federal government needs to stop ignoring the problem.

Adams wants Joe’s help

On Sunday, January 15, New York City Mayor Eric Adams “called on the federal government to play a bigger role in addressing the migrant crisis.” He knows he’s overwhelmed and what he saw in El Paso has him admitting that Mayor Oscar Leeser is stretched even thinner.

He wanted to get a firsthand look at what was really going on. What he saw and what they showed Joe were two entirely different things.

Mayor Adams gets credit for his willingness to discuss “how the crisis is impacting the community.” That’s more than we’re seeing from all the other Democrats. On Friday, he declared New York is is at its “breaking point.” It was bad enough when Texas was busing migrants up from the border. When the allegedly sanctuary state of Colorado started doing it too, he got ticked.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis acted like he was backing down and promised he won’t charter any more buses. He’s going to continue sending the same number of migrants, and they’ll still be going by bus. The only difference is that instead of booking a whole bus, he’ll buy them individual tickets.

Now, Adams is yelling for state help and telling everyone that the responsibility should really be on Joe Biden’s shoulders. He “submitted an emergency mutual aid request to New York State for immediate help this weekend to shelter the asylum seekers.

He needs a check fast because another 3,100 migrants arrived in the past week. They got 800 of those in one whack on Thursday.

A national problem

On Sunday, Adams stood shoulder to shoulder with El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser to declare he understands that the problem isn’t coming from “any border city in particular,” even though that’s where the buses were originating.

He is pointing the finger though. Right at Joe Biden. “We’re pointing the finger at our national government.” He should be waving the middle one too but he isn’t ready to go that far yet. “This is a national problem.

Until Congress gets around to granting total amnesty for all, there needs to be a better way of herding the migrants in. More importantly, someone needs to feed and house them once they’re in.

Adams and Leeser can’t do it all. El Paso can barely keep them moving northward. Joe needs to cough up a whole bunch of cash and he better start printing it. “We must immediately have a short-term fix of making sure that the cost of this does not fall on our local cities.

Adams is still steamed about the way Jared Polis double crossed him. He’s totally ducking his share of the sanctuary burden. He’s as mad at Polis as he is with Texas Governor Greg Abbott. “The governor of Colorado, who’s a Democrat, and the governor of Texas, who’s a Republican – I think they had a bipartisan disrespect for the cities, and it was wrong and it should not happen, and it should not continue.

It wouldn’t really matter where the migrants came from and how many of them there were if someone would simply pay to feed and house them. Joe invited them in, he should foot the bill. Maybe Hunter can have an art sale and donate the proceeds. That way, China can pay for it.
