Over the weekend, there was a bit of a fuss near the Bidens beach home in Delaware.
A man had reportedly gone missing in Rehoboth Beach after having gone out into the surf.
He turned up about 24 hours later in a town just north of the Biden beach home.
Sad Day
As is typical this time of year, riptide warnings were issued at East Coast beaches, Rehoboth Beach included.
Richard A. Boateng, 31, reportedly went out swimming but was not seen again until his body washed up at North Shores Beach, which is just a few miles north of Rehoboth.
A witness stated that she saw a man out in the surf, raising his hand for help, then he was just gone
The witness, after spotting the man, explained, “Then I started shouting ‘Help! We need a lifeguard.’
“We were shouting, shouting, shouting and finally when I turned to this side. I can’t see him.
“He just lifted his hand and he drowned.”
A massive search involving several agencies took place, but they could not find him until the body surfaced the next day.
