Every year, NFL fans are glued to the screen on Thanksgiving Day, which is when the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders break out their Santa outfits.

This year, one of the cheerleaders, Marissa Phillips, decided to play Santa for her teammates.

She wound up shelling out about $24,000 to put a special gift under all their trees.

Playing Santa

Marissa posted a video on her Instagram account that went viral.

She explained how she had their team party coming up, and she decided to get every teammate a Dyson Airwrap, which is a nearly $600 styling tool, which clearly the girls loved…

Cowboys cheerleader McKenna Gehrke stated, “This was so iconic!! Thank you for doing this for us, we don’t deserve you. I CANT WAIT to use.”

This is a pretty big check to write, even if Dyson did cut her a break on the pricing of them.

Now, it’s not like the old days when Cowboys cheerleaders made $100 a game and a few bucks for appearances.

The Cowboys cheerleaders are now the highest priced cheerleaders in the league, making more than $15 per hour for practice and about $500 per game. They average about $75,000 per year in salary now, nearly triple what other squads made.

Even so, after taxes, Marissa just spent about half her take-home pay on her friends for Christmas.

So, I would say she clearly had the giving spirit!
