CNN Analyst Backtracks FAST After Being a Complete Dumb A

Juliette Kayyem, a CNN analyst and Harvard professor, is backtracking fast after calling for vigilantism and promoting outright stupidity in response to the truckers’ Freedom Convoy protest in Canada.

“Earlier today, I tweeted something that has been used by others to suggest I was promoting vigilantism. I was not. People have the freedom to protest. Governments have the responsibility to protect public safety. That was what I intended to say,” Kayyem, who is also a former Obama administration official, tweeted in a desperate attempt to backtrack from her initial tweet.

Unfortunately for her, she was pretty clear in her first tweet. There’s no possible way to say that she was not “promoting vigilantism” after reading what she wrote.

“The convoy protest, applauded by right wing media as a ‘freedom protest,’ is an economic and security issue now. The Ambassador Bridge link constitutes 28% of annual trade movement between US and Canada. Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks,” Kayyem tweeted that morning.

The CNN analyst clearly was promoting vigilantism and vandalism, and some would even say violence. Beyond that, she was promoting outright stupidity and dangerous behavior. The tires on a big rig truck are extremely pressurized. If someone were to attempt to slash them, they would be seriously hurt.

One Twitter user pointed that out, sharing a video from an unknown source of someone facing those exact consequences.

The replies to Kayyem’s tweet were strongly-worded, with most people condemning her for her stupidity.

“’Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks’. Promoting violence and destruction of property… Also, how do you move 18-wheelers with slashed tires? Oh yeah, and @juliettekayyem is a ‘former Obama @DHSGov and ‘National security expert,” wrote Canadian lawyer and Youtuber Viva Frei.

“Just another fascist,” wrote podcast host Sebastian Gorka.

Mike Cernovich tweeted:

“I will never get over this.

Slash the tires and drain the fuel tanks.

I’m not offended by the lack of morality.

The sheer stupidity is remarkable.

This tweet is a work of art.”

“After decades of being abandoned by the Left, workers across the world organized the most effective working class protest in recent memory demanding the right to work on their own terms. The response from liberal elites like this Harvard prof/CNN contributor? ‘Slash their tires,'” wrote Batya Ungar-Sargon, deputy opinion editor of Newsweek.
