France Protests

French President Emmanuel Macron is getting a little taste of George Floyd.

Macron took it upon himself to raise the retirement age in France by two years.

The result of which was citizens taking to the street in protest.

Burning Down the House

French garbage collectors, refinery workers, and others have left plenty of ammo on the streets for protesters to create “mostly” peaceful protests that are emulating what we saw here in the United States after the death of George Floyd.

The strike is now entering its third week with no signs of shutting down anytime soon.

Macron finds himself in trouble, facing no-confidence motions, but surviving them both.

Macron is scheduled to speak on Thursday, but the fact he made this move on his own has most looking for his head on a platter.

Leftist lawmaker Mathilde Panot stated, “There are not many options left to Emmanuel Macron.”

Panot wants the new legislation withdrawn or Macron’s resignation.

Some workers have been ordered back to work to keep the government functional, but another major protest has been scheduled for Thursday.
