Incredibly chilling surveillance footage has revealed the moment when 33-year-old Vincent Cohran, a rap artist performing under the name Slim 400 was murdered. Gunned down in cold blood outside of his Inglewood, California home. The highly disturbing footage, confirmed in its provenance by the Inglewood PD shows an as yet, unidentified assailant pull up to Cohran’s driveway at approximately 7:50PM PST on the night of December 8th. He emerges from his vehicle with a firearm in hand and quickly advances to the top of the driveway where Vincent was seated in his parked vehicle. He proceeded to fire three shots at Cohran as he emerges from the vehicle. The rap artist is then seen attempting to lunge for the weapon in an attempt to defend himself, the assailant then fires six more times as Cohran grips his arm and the gun and is dragged across the yard by the retreating shooter as he continues to fire.

The man fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, responding to reports of gunshots. Vincent Cohran was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. The murderer has not been identified, no suspects have been reported and no motive has been announced. The investigation of the gangland killing is ongoing.

According to Fox11,

“Slim 400, who was on the rise on the West Coast hip-hop scene, had just released the music video for “Caviar Gold (IceWata)” the day before the fatal shooting.

The rising star was born to military parents in Frankfurt, Germany on June 22, 1988. The family then moved back to the United States and called Compton home.”

Another Tragedy In A String Of Murdered Rappers

The rising talent was no stranger to violence and was notably attacked and shot eight times in June 2019, barely escaping with his life. Slim 400 also notably feuded with well-known rapper-tuned-cooperating witness Tekashi 69 and was known to have gotten into a shouting match with him outside the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach in November 2018, according to TMZ. Cohran’s death has followed three months after the murder of rapper Nipsey Hussle and mere weeks after the murder of Memphis rap artist Young Dolph. As violent crime rates nationally have skyrocketed in 2020 and 2021, it appears that this escalation has found its way equally into the already gang-related world of the Rap music industry.
