The FBI must be addicted to magic marker fumes. Once again, the bureau went obsessively crazy and marked out so much of the supporting FD-1023 forms Congress had asked for as to make them unusable. They’re not obstructing justice or anything.
FBI still hiding evidence
FBI Director Christopher Wray doesn’t seem to mind that the House Oversight Committee still has their paperwork charging him with contempt of Congress ready to go. They held back on that when he caved in and showed the entire committee an internal tip report, called a FD-1023 form. Chairman James Comer and ranking Democrat Jamie Raskin were shown clean copies. By the time the rest of the committee got to see them, the bureau had run a magic marker over some crucial evidence, trying to hide it from congress. It wasn’t anything which would expose their precious “sources or methods.”
It does, however, make it look like they’re covering up crimes for Joe Biden. Senator Charles Grassley peeled off the redaction lines and read what they tried to hide from the Senate floor. Ukrainian gas company Burisma’s owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, claimed to have 17 audio recordings as evidence the $10 million bribe he paid to Joe Biden, with half split to Hunter. Now, they’re trying it again.
Listed in the footnotes of the report which the committee finally got a peek at are references to another set of FD-1023 forms. Comer made it crystal clear that the FBI needed to turn those over as well.
🚨🚨🚨
Today the FBI brought two unclassified FD-1023 forms for my review. These records were heavily redacted.
Americans have lost confidence in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially. The FBI must provide unredacted copies of these records.

The bureau grudgingly complied. First, agents got out a box of the industrial grade black markers they use and marked off virtually every word on the form. They didn’t leave much to look at and the committee doesn’t see the stunt as anything close to “compliance.”
On Tuesday, June 20, Chairman Comer announced he “read two additional FBI informant files related to an alleged $10 million bribery scheme” involving Joe and Hunter Biden “but that more than half of the content was redacted.”
He had to waste his time tromping over to the secure reading room for nothing. “It was a total waste of my time to review FD-1023 files provided by the FBI at a secure reading room at the Capitol because the March and December 2017 files were so heavily blacked out.”
Sweetheart of a plea deal
The chairman of the House Oversight Committee was even more steamed because the wild goose chase the FBI sent him on came mere hours after Hunter Biden “formalized a plea deal with Delaware US Attorney David Weiss for a probation-only plea deal to two misdemeanor tax fraud counts and a felony firearms count related to lying about his drug use, which can be expunged after two years.”
Less than a slap on the wrist. All the other serious crimes conveniently go away.
As Comer relates, he was “alarmed” at what Weiss had to say in his public statement. The special prosecutor claims that his investigation is “ongoing.” That’s not what Hunter’s high-paid lawyers say. Someone is lying to Congress. The Biden legal team is gloating that all of Hunter Biden’s legal jeopardy is “resolved.”
BREAKING: The DOJ allegedly tipped off Hunter Biden before a search was conducted on his storage unit & stopped an investigation into "a WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden demands payment from Chinese officials, noting that his father is in the room."

If that’s true, the case is closed and the FBI can’t claim that showing the documents would interfere with an ongoing investigation. If the case is still moving, what happens to all the serious charges? This could just be a ploy to rat-hole the file for a few more years while everyone obstructs Congress long enough to change the power balance again.
“I need to know what the US attorney meant by this is an ‘ongoing‘ investigation because the reason the FBI and the Treasury Department won’t give me all of the evidence of wrongdoing by the Bidens is because they say it is part of an ongoing investigation,” Comer explained.
“So is it a real ongoing investigation or is this just an attempt to obstruct and block our committee from providing oversight?“
