At least seven migrants were killed and six more injured in Brownsville, Texas, on Sunday. It appears from initial reports, which mainstream media are already playing down, that the suspect intentionally plowed his vehicle through a group waiting for a bus outside a processing center shelter. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Migrants murdered in Texas

It’s shockingly horrible but really no surprise that someone would intentionally run down a group of migrants simply minding their own business. The individual “asylees” aren’t the ones to blame for anything. They were invited here by our government officials who not only refuse to enforce the laws, they break them intentionally.

When laws are ignored by lawmakers and federal administrators, along with being allegedly broken on a daily basis by the FBI and DOJ, who can expect ordinary citizens to obey them? Compounding the problem, things like shoplifting and carjacking have been decriminalized. The police aren’t providing law enforcement for much of anything, so it’s become everyone for themselves.

As related by Lieutenant Martin Sandoval of the Brownsville Police Department, “seven victims died at the scene and six others have been transported to area hospitals.” All are recently arrived migrants.

The driver has been arrested and charged, but investigations are ongoing.” Unofficially, people at the scene say it looks like he did it on purpose. The last thing they want to do is confirm that. They only have him charged with reckless driving but are fast to add they’re thinking of adding more.

As reported by Fox News, “Authorities have yet to release any identifying information about the driver, but he is currently receiving medical treatment at an area hospital and is under 24-hour supervision.” They aren’t sure if he was impaired.

The suspect is also being tested for drugs and alcohol.” The area outside Brownsville’s Ozanam Center is roped off with crime scene tape. The facility is described as “a shelter for migrants and homeless people in the community.

Relevance to the attack

Officials are quick to declare that it’s “unclear” whether the migrants were targeted and if the “shelter had any relevance to the attack.” They do verify that the “victims were waiting at a city bus stop on the street next to the center at roughly 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning when the attack occurred.

The shelter’s director, Victor Maldonado, notes, “I’ve got some folks that are very banged up. They’re crying.

The latest available information comes from Washington Post. They saw some video which “showed that the driver ran a red light about 100 feet away from where the victims were waiting for the bus.” Osvaldo Prieto, who works at a nearby migrant shelter, relates “he ran them over, all of them.

He was “heading to offer support at the center on Sunday morning because the head of the kitchen there apparently saw the incident and was so shocked by it that she left the center.

Witnesses relate to the press that “the driver tried to run away afterward.” Alert and vigilant bystanders “stopped him from leaving the scene.” They’re the ones who claim he “appeared to be driving under the influence.

Another video “shows the driver sitting shirtless on the street, hands behind his back, as witnesses yell at him and police approach him. Police then made the man stand up and walked him to a police car.” Stay tuned for updates as this story develops.
