It would appear that the Republican Party has finally had enough of Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.).
Santos has had more charges added to a previous indictment.
Now there are even more calls for his resignation to the point that lawmakers are trying to have him expelled from Congress.
He Needs to Go
Santos won his election with a completely fabricated resume, so I have always believed that he should have been expelled after that information came out.
With a razor-thin edge in the House, ethics went out the window and then-Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) never really pushed the issue.
An ethics investigation was started, but apparently it takes two years to investigate claims that were readily available in news reports all over the place.
Santos is now facing 10 charges, with the new charges alleging that Santos used individuals’ personal credit card information to make unauthorized charges in support of his political campaign.
He is now facing 10 charges in all, which include, conspiracy, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and credit card fraud.
Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) is now calling for him to be expelled from Congress, referring to him as a “stain” on both Congress and the party.
He added, “I know that Ethics has been a little busy, but, you know, it’s time that we see some results.”
Santos responded, “If they want to be judge, jury and arbitrator of the whole goddamn thing, let them do it.
“They just want to silence the people of the 3rd Congressional District.”
No, that is not the case at all…
They want you expelled because you are a complete and utter grifter, Mr. Santos.
Honestly, I think we have more clowns than actual legislators in office right now.
It is all about theatrics and grifting.
