After spending millions of taxpayer dollars on illegal aliens, FEMA apparently doesn’t have enough money left to help American citizens who are victims of natural disasters.

Earlier this week, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) did not have enough money to make it through the rest of hurricane season — despite the fact that the agency has allocated a whopping $640 million of taxpayer dollars specifically for issues related to illegal aliens.
“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds — FEMA does not have the funds — to make it through the season,” Mayorkas revealed.

This is especially egregious considering the fact that hurricane season does not end until November 30.
Fox News’s Chad Pergram reported: “Congress made sure FEMA had more than $20 billion in last week’s emergency spending bill ahead of the storm, but last year, Congress awarded DHS $640 million to help communities provide shelter and aid to people in the country illegally.”
The exact amount of taxpayer funds allocated for illegal aliens is disputed, with some reports indicating it was $640 million, others saying as high as one billion dollars, and another report from the New York Post stating that “DHS allocated $780 million for the migrant crisis last year through the FEMA Shelter and Services Program and the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program.”
Meanwhile, only $10 million was allocated by FEMA to help hurricane victims with a measly $750 per person for groceries.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, whose state is one of several that experienced Hurricane Helene earlier this week, is sounding the alarm about the federal government’s mismanagement of taxpayer dollars.
“This is not something that has just happened recently,” Moody said, explaining that “Florida’s been warning about this since this administration took over.”
“Mayorkas has come in like a virus and infected these — what need to be healthy, strong, fundamental programs to ensure the stability and safety of Americans in times of disaster. So you heard, they have taken the FEMA emergency food and shelter program and over time, siphoned off hundreds of millions of dollars into basically making it an illegal immigrant resettlement program,” she added, pointing out that these funds encourage more illegal aliens to come to the United States.
“Biden and Harris are having to fund that on the backs of the American people. And now, right now, in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, all of these states are hurting,” Moody continued.
It’s outrageous to hear from @SecMayorkas that @fema does not have the funds to make it through this hurricane season when we KNOW they have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to facilitate the @JoeBiden–@KamalaHarris illegal immigration disaster. pic.twitter.com/miKY38K1dC

Hurricane Helene has left at least 190 people confirmed dead as of Thursday evening, while also leaving many without access to clean water or electricity. Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration’s response has been lackluster at best and negligent at worst. While Americans were suffering, President Joe Biden was lounging on the beach and Vice President Kamala Harris was partying and fundraising with celebrities in Los Angeles.

Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, was on the ground in Valdosta, Georgia, handing out supplies and coordinating relief efforts.
After backlash, Harris managed to take a clearly-staged photo for her social media showing her supposedly hard at work addressing the effects of the hurricane — though the photo was slammed by critics who pointed out that she was pretending to write on blank paper while wearing wired headphones that were not connected to her phone.
Trump flew directly to Valdosta to deliver critical supplies to the victims of Helene.
