If you saw the security at the Trump event, it appeared quite a bit lax.
For instance, I did not see a helicopter flying overhead as a spotter for a possible attack, and there was only one Secret Service sniper team deployed.
Well, a report just surfaced that could explain all of that.

If the report is accurate, some of the resources that would have been deployed for Trump were gobbled up by Jill Biden’s detail because she and Trump were having rallies on the same day.
RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree, posted on X, “Secret Services resources were diverted to Jill Biden’s event and away from Trump’s because they followed agency protocol applying to Trump as a former president, according to two sources within the Secret Service community.
“There were also many supplemental agents from different field officers (not Trump’s regular detail) providing security at the rally because Trump’s regular detail has been overworked (some working 7 days straight), and only two counter-snipers.”
Now, if you watched the reaction to the shooting of Trump, this looked more like the C team.
While several of the agents did an amazing job covering Trump and getting him away from the scene, one female agent appeared to be hiding when she should have been on the pile protecting Trump.
This was the same agent who was later spotted on video having a difficult time getting her weapon holstered.
How was the rooftop less than 200 yards from Trump left open? Why did the Secret Service sniper not take the shot when he appeared to have the shooter in his sights for at least a minute before the shots were fired?
In terms of responsibility, the Secret Service is already trying to point the finger at local police, claiming that the building was under their watch, not the Secret Service, but I have always been under the impression that the Secret Service takes the lead when it comes to presidential protection.
I am baffled by how this was permitted to happen, and we need a full and transparent investigation into this matter.
Congress must act now before the FBI produces another magic bullet theory to try to explain this.
That shot never should have been fired, and we deserve to know why it did happen.
