Bill Barr BREAKS SILENCE, Says DOJ…

New Details Come to Light About AG Barr

Former Attorney General Bill Barr is back in the news.

After his falling out with Trump, he has been pretty silent save for the push he made to sell his book.

After the initial ruling was handed down for the special master to be appointed, Barr is back on the circuit and I am guessing Donald Trump will NOT like what he is saying.

Totally Wrong

While I would not say Bill Barr has it out for Trump, I definitely think he wants him eliminated from contention for the 2024 election.

So, I have to say, his comments about the special master appointment did not exactly take me by surprise.

Barr called the decision “deeply flawed.”

He stated, “The opinion, I think, was wrong and I think the government should appeal it.

“It’s deeply flawed in a number of ways.

“I don’t think the appointment of a special master is gonna hold up, but even if it does, I don’t see it fundamentally changing the trajectory, right?

“In other words, I don’t think it changes the ball game so much as maybe we’ll have a rain delay for a couple of innings.

“But I think that the fundamental dynamics of the case are set.

“The government has very strong evidence of what it really needs to determine whether charges are appropriate, which is: government documents were taken, classified information was taken and not handled appropriately and they are looking into — and there’s some evidence to suggest — that they were deceived and none of that really relates to the content of documents.”

The last part of the statement is where I really think he went off the rails.

He stated, “The dispute isn’t over whether this document is potentially executive privilege and this one isn’t. That’s not the dispute.

“The dispute is whether the president, even if it is executive privilege, can the president bar DOJ from reviewing the documents?

“And the answer to that, I think, is clearly no … Totally wrong, totally wrong.”

That is not why Trump’s team wanted the special master appointed.

This was about ensuring the DOJ did not take any extra privileged information.

It was also about finding out if they took documents beyond the warrant’s scope.

If they did that, it possibly gives his legal team grounds to have the entire search tossed.

Sorry, Bill, but I think you got this one wrong.
