Once again, Joe Biden is cutting the legs out from beneath our veterans.
This administration has removed a link for information on how veterans can use private care instead of waiting hours at the local VA for care.
Now the link is buried on the website, undermining a law enacted when Trump was in office so our veterans could get the care they deserve.
Makes No Sense
We all know the problems our veterans were having.
Many of them were so frustrated with the time it took to get care, they just gave up.
This was driving suicide rates, with stories often making the news of veterans who killed themselves in the parking lots of VA centers.
The Mission Act changed that.
The law went into effect in 2019 and veterans loved it.
However, instead of getting that information, the page is now a page that says, “Choose VA.”
When VA Press Secretary Terrence Hayes was asked about this, he stated, “VA is laser-focused on getting Veterans access to the best possible health care, whether that comes directly from VA or from the community.
“As part of that effort, VA continues to implement the Mission Act faithfully, transparently and in its entirety.”
Now, to find the link, you would have to navigate five layers deep, so this is clearly an effort to hide the link so the government does not have to pay the higher price of private care.
We are now spending about $160 billion a year on illegal immigrants, but Joe Biden has a problem with our veterans getting the medical attention they need from their own providers.
Darin Selnick, a senior adviser to Concerned Veterans for America, stated, “The Mission Act represents the ability to choose something other than VA, and they took it down.”
He added, “All they want you to be able to do is to choose VA care.”
