For someone that ran on great foreign policy experience, Joe Biden is a hot mess.
We have stated many times that we do not believe the members of the Democrat Party support Israel.
Joe Biden just proved us right again.
Not Welcome
Newly re-elected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was looking to make some rather big changes after he took his government back over again.
Those reforms were met with rioting in the streets and dissent in his cabinet.
If fact, Netanyahu removed one official for speaking out against him.
The reforms were paused, but that did not stop the White House from shunning the PM, who was already upset that had not been invited to the White House yet.
When Biden was asked if he would inviting Netanyahu anytime soon, he said that would not be happening.
Then White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre added, “We welcome this announcement as an opportunity to create additional time and space for compromise.
“A compromise is precisely what we have been calling for.
“We continue to strongly urge Israeli leaders to find a compromise as soon as possible.
“We believe that it is the best path forward for Israel and all of its citizens to find this compromise.
“Democratic societies are strengthened by checks and balances.
“Fundamental changes to a democratic system should be pursued with the broadest possible base of popular support, and so that’s what we’re going to continue to call for.”
Not exactly the welcome mat for our biggest ally in the middle east.
