As you probably know, the inflation report for September came out.
For everyone else in the country, inflation year-over-year last month was 8.2 percent.
For Joe Biden, it was only two percent.
He Really Said It
After the report came out, Biden released a statement.
It read, “Today’s report shows some progress in the fight against higher prices, even as we have more work to do.
“Inflation over the last three months has averaged 2%, at an annualized rate.
“A lot of people are hurting these days. But today’s report shows, though, some progress.
“Overall inflation was 2% over the last three months, that’s down from 11% over the prior three months. That’s progress.”
Is he serious?
Social media erupted…
First it was the “inflation reduction act”, a marketing spin on more spending that does many things but not reduce inflation. And now it’s spinning numbers to make things appear way better than they are. Inflation is *not* 2% annualized and everyone knows that! https://t.co/dbiRdoSuOX

FACT CHECK:
Inflation when Biden took office 1.4%
Inflation today 8.2%Gas when Biden took office $2.39
Gas today $3.92 https://t.co/7pYene5KrQ— Marc Lotter (@marc_lotter) October 13, 2022
But this was my favorite only because it is true with today’s media…
They have just changed the definition of 8.5% to 2%. And just like that all is good. https://t.co/lcMH04WPbn

The sad reality is that far too many people will believe Joe’s version versus reality.
