Joe Biden’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary has decided that the American people’s freedoms don’t matter when it comes to vaccination.
Responding to criticism from Republicans about the Biden administration’s planned “door-to-door” vaccine campaign, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said the GOP is wrong in asserting that the government has no business knowing your vaccination status.
According to Becerra, because the government had to “spend trillions of dollars to try to keep Americans alive during this pandemic,” your rights no longer matter.
“So it is absolutely the government’s business, it is taxpayers’ business, if we have to continue to spend money to try to keep people from contracting COVID and helping reopen the economy,” the HHS secretary said.
But wait, it gets worse.
Becerra revealed during the interview that the Biden administration has requested the names of Americans who have refused to take the experimental COVID vaccine.
One America News reports: “He claimed measures such as this somehow help protect Americans’ freedoms and liberties. However, Becerra failed to acknowledge that COVID-19 has a 99 percent survival rate. Instead, he claimed Americans must now give up their privacy to the government in return for stimulus checks.”
“It is our business to try and make sure Americans can prosper, Americans can freely associate…and knocking on a door has never been against the law. You don’t have to answer, but we hope you do because if you haven’t been vaccinated we can help dispel some of those rumors that you’ve heard and hopefully get you vaccinated,” the HHS secretary said.
Becerra is clearly very skilled at language manipulation, like most successful left-wing political figures. In his next statement, it is clear he wanted to appear to be pro-freedom, but his message says the complete opposite.
“We want to give people the sense that they have the freedom to choose. But we hope they choose to live,” he said. “We hope people make the right choices. We want them to have the right information, but we are America. We try to give people as much freedom and choice as possible, but clearly when over 600,000 Americans have died, the best choice is to get vaccinated.”
Giving people “the sense” that they have the freedom to choose is not the same as allowing people to have the freedom to choose. But of course, that is what the left is all about. They say they support freedom, but they are pro-censorship (against free speech), they want to force Christian bakers to bake cakes for gay weddings (against religious liberty), they openly advocate against due process, they push for authoritarian lockdowns and mask mandates, and much more.
Republicans are calling Becerra and the Biden administration out for their rhetoric.
“I have directed our health department to let the federal government know that sending government employees or agents door-to-door to compel vaccination would NOT be an effective OR a welcome strategy in Missouri!” wrote Governor Mike Parson.

Colorado GOP Represenative Lauren Boebert tweeted about the contradictory statements being expressed by the Biden administration.
