Joe Biden’s rapid decline into an extremely public form of dementia while at the helm of the American ship of state is an absolute tragedy that is so simultaneously depressing and terrifying that laughter seems to be the best possible alternative to a nation rending rage or dissolving into a pool of despair. That being said, courtesy of RNC Research we now have a compilation of Biden’s legendary ‘Air Force One v. Amtrak mileage story’ a fully manufactured tale, that he tells differently every time. A Brodigan of LouderWithCrowder.com adroitly observed, “If Biden were a Republican, CNN would have a science expert on to diagnose him with dementia.” American aphorist Mason Cooley once said, “Keep your lies short and simple”, the common wisdom being lies with too many specifics become hard to recall correctly… Biden might’ve missed that lesson.

Biden describes that the US Airforce keeps a “fastidious record of the miles you travel in American Air Force Aircraft as President or Vice President.” Unfortunately, he can’t seem to settle on just what that fastidious record number is, alternating between 1.7, 1.35, 1.4, 1.2, and 1.3 million miles. He adds that a former conductor named Angelo Negri, once told him he did the math and that the Airforce number was a ‘big dea’ because he’d spent either (depending on which telling you’re hearing) 127, 119, 131, 117 or 121 days per year for 36 years on Amtrak totaling either 2 million, 1.515 million, 2.18 million or 2.1 million miles…

The Rapid Decline Of An Unfit Mind, The Same False Story, Wrong Every Time

But there’s one more problem according to The New York Post, “Negri retired from Amtrak in 1993, meaning he didn’t work there when Biden was vice president from 2009 to 2017. He died in May 2014.” Even CNN had to address that this tall-tale, inconsistently told doesn’t pass the sniff test. CNN reported in June that “Biden’s account simply does not add up. Biden did not reach the million-miles-flown mark as vice president until September 2015, according to his own past comments.”

With Biden staggering into his 79th year with serious, repeated, and legitimate concerns about his mental fitness hamstringing his prospects for a second term even among his fellow Democrats. And his approval and while his polling numbers are falling through the floor… he just told the story again in Scranton, PA while campaigning for his bipartisan infrastructure bill that is neither bipartisan nor infrastructure. Amazingly he fudged the time frame of the story once again claiming it was “I guess it was seven years into — to my tenure as vice president.” Let’s ignore all discernment and common sense and entertain the notion that Biden isn’t completely losing his grip… just for a second. If that’s the case then isn’t it just a little insulting to our collective intelligence that if you deliver the same speech over and over throughout a whistlestop tour you can at least tell it consistently.
