As the Canadian version of the peaceful world-wide trucker protest was in full swing, Antifa inspired radicals went on the offensive. Canadian police did something their American counterparts aren’t allowed to do and arrested 42-year-old David Alexander Zegarac, 42, of Headingley, Manitoba.
Antifa terrorist in custody
The radical Antifa related terrorist who rammed his SUV through the crowd in a violent attack on “Freedom Convoy” protesters in Winnipeg, Canada has “a long history of far-left militantism in Manitoba.”
Canadian authorities reported that “after the attack on Feb. 4, 2022, which injured four people,” Zegarac “sped off to try and escape.” In the process he “ran multiple lights and resisted arrest when he was finally caught around 40 minutes later.”
All across Canada, with reinforcements coming from Alaska and the lower 48 American states, truckers descended on seats of government to lawfully and peacefully protest heavy handed mandates. They managed to “occupy” the main capitol of Ottawa causing the declaration of a state of emergency.
Except for limited and potentially “false-flag” incidents of mayhem, allegedly engineered to discredit the protest, the vast majority of protesters were peaceful and law abiding. Antifa is the exact opposite.
The world learned in 2020 all about the peaceful way Antifa and Black Lives Matter affiliated anarchists protest. They use everything from Molotov cocktails to industrial grade fireworks to green lasers. Each and every one is decked out in regulation black bloc riot gear from head to toe, compliments of Open Societies funding.
They can’t stand that hard working truck drivers, generally heterosexual, married, and supporting a family, might get upset with government overreach enough to go on a highly visible strike. The truckers got more done by honking their horns for a week than the anarchists did with years of continued destruction.
Defund the truckers
The thing that really blows liberal minds is that no matter how much they hate truckers, they can’t be defunded out of the picture like police were. The only answer left to the Left is violence. Zegarac is typical of the species. He made a living as “front-man of the antifa punk band Brat Attack.”
Laws don’t mean a thing to anarchists, even the ones against child abuse. The law didn’t even try to touch him but his “record label dropped the group because of multiple accusations of sexual assault against Zegarac in 2015. One of the accusers said she was only 13 when he groomed her and raped her.” Nice guy.
People actually paid Zegarac money for music which “is extremely political, features violent themes and was popular with the local antifa anarchist punk scene in Manitoba and other parts of Canada.”
He tried his hand in “multiple” other radical and short-lived bands as well. Zegarac also considers himself a graphic artist. He posts his anarchist art under the handle, “DaveyBrat.”
One of his pieces “shows an antifa member in black bloc hurling a firebomb.” After the savage attack on the peaceful truckers, Zegarac was “charged with four counts of assault with a weapon, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.”
According to a spokesperson with the Winnipeg police, “they couldn’t speak to the driver’s motivations.” Conservative Americans can take a pretty good guess.
