The page is truly being turned on the Democrat Party.

Well, almost.

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) has announced that he will follow in Pelosi’s footsteps and resign his leadership position.

There is, however, one fossil that will hold on.

Not Just Yet

With Pelosi stepping down, she has cleared the way for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) to take over.

Jeffries, who claimed Trump was an illegitimate president and that the 2016 election results were influenced by Russians, is slated to take over for her.

The number two and number three positions on the Democrat side will also go to the next generation of Democrats, with Reps. Katherine Clark (D-MA) and Peter Aguilar (D-CA) penciled in.

Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), however, will remain in leadership.

He is reportedly going to run for the number four position and serve as the assistant leader of the minority.

I would be willing to bet just about anything that Clyburn made a deal not to fight any of the youngsters on their positions as long as he could hold on to some power in the party.

Hoyer, like Pelosi, will remain in Congress.
