Yet another former Trump ally has caved in, and this one marks the third co-defendant to take a plea deal in the Georgia fraud election case. Once a former member of Donald Trump’s legal team, Jenna Ellis has now plead guilty to submitting false statements to Georgia lawmakers related to the counting of votes in for the 2020 election.
Jenna Ellis has taken a plea deal in the Georgia election fraud case where she admitted guilt to submitting false statements to state lawmakers regarding the counting of votes during the 2020 election. As part of an agreement with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Ellis pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting false statements; three other co-defendants avoided prison time due to their own guilty pleas.

It was reported that back in December 2020, Ellis aided Rudy Giuliani and Ray Smith by pressuring legislators to accept alternate delegates on grounds that there were tens of thousands of fraudulent votes cast in the previous month. She alleged mail-in ballots were not properly submitted, felons voted illegally and more than 10,000 dead people had votes cast in their names which would have affected outcomes for certain states like Georgia if proven true.
It’s worth noting that President Trump had previously held $100,000-a-head private dinners designed as fundraisers for his 18 co-defendants – some who ended up being jailed due to bail issues – but he still maintained his innocence throughout it all.

For now, it looks like Trump’s defense will hinge on testimonies from Hall, Powell, Chesebro and Ellis – all whom are required under their plea agreements – as well as possibly others too. This could prove difficult considering how close they once were with him since they were originally hired late 2019 as legal advisers onto his campaign where they challenged electoral outcomes in swing states such Michigan and Pennsylvania without any success whatsoever in court despite their efforts.
