As we reach one month of war between Israel and Hamas, the Israeli government has issued a massive warning to its citizens. For those looking to travel abroad, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warns individuals of potential dangers, urging that they take the necessary precautions and consider postponing their trips if possible.
In light of recent events in the Middle East, it is no surprise that tensions are high. The infiltration of Hamas into southern Israel on October 7th and Israel’s response in the Gaza Strip have led to an increase in anti-Semitic attacks against Jews worldwide.

From Paris to London, Berlin, Vienna and Stockholm – even extending as far as Russia and the Caucasus – Israelis are at risk of violence due to their nationality or religion. Those who choose to go overseas should be aware of their surroundings at all times and avoid displaying any symbols which could identify them as Jewish or Israeli.
It is important for travelers to stay away from protests involving Palestinians and other groups hostile towards Jews or Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed this issue with a joint statement alongside the country’s National Security Council (NSC) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
In his statement, he described how “In the past few weeks, the National Security Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have identified a significant rise in antisemitism and anti-Israel incitement, alongside life-threatening violent attacks on Israelis and Jews around the world”.
He went on to say that, “Such incidents are occurring in many countries around the world, including those for which no terrorism-related travel warnings have been issued”. Some “key targets for protests and attacks by antisemitic groups” include synagogues, Chabad Centers, kosher restaurants, Israeli businesses, delegations, airports with flights going both ways between Israel and other countries, etcetera.
