It comes as no surprise that there’s a very clear double standard at work when it comes to law and order in the Biden administration. While those involved in the Capitol riots of January 6th faced legal consequences, huge crowds of pro-Palestine protesters stormed the White House on Saturday, November 4 without any repercussions.

Hundreds of protesters waved Palestinian flags and anti-Israel signs as they stormed the White House lawn. Secret Service personnel had to disperse the crowd once they began chanting “F**k Joe Biden” while accusing him of “genocide.”

The protesters also vandalized the main gate with red paint and plastered anti-Israel signs on the fence. Some chanted “Allahu Akbar” (which translates to “God is Great”) while others scaled the outer fence. Across Washington D.C., monuments were defaced with “Free Palestine” graffiti as part of this national march for a ceasefire.

The demonstrators seemed especially angry about President Biden’s support for Israel, one protester shouting out from a megaphone: “The language that President Biden and his party understand is the language of votes in 2023 elections and our message is: No cease-fire, no votes”.

When compared to what happened during Black Lives Matter riots last summer or even Saturday’s protest at The White House, there was an extreme contrast in how participants of these events were treated by authorities.

Those responsible for storming into The Capitol building during January 6th riots have been sentenced to multiple years in prison whereas not a single person involved in last year’s protests has faced any legal consequences whatsoever despite attacking law enforcement officers outside The White House.

This discrepancy between punishments given out further proves that there are two sets of rules when it comes to applying justice under this current administration; one set being harsher towards those seen as enemies by Democrats while another which shows leniency towards friends or allies within their coalition regardless of how unlawful their behavior might be.

It remains unclear whether or not the DOJ will take action following Saturday’s unrest but recent history suggests otherwise considering all other actions taken against right-wing protesters vs those committed by left-wing activists remain unprosecuted.
